Kazakhstan, U.S. need to step up cooperation in children's rights protection
ASTANA. September 23. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's Human Rights Commissioner Askar Shakirov has met today with Special Advisor for Children's Issues of the U.S. Department of State Susan Jacobs who is on a visit to Kazakhstan.

The sides discussed the protection of rights of Kazakhstan-born children in the process of international adoption, and the establishment of all-round interaction between Kazakhstan and the U.S. in this process, the ombudsman's press service reports.
The American diplomat was informed of the provision of children's rights in Kazakhstan and activity of the ombudsman's office in that sphere.
At the meeting it was noted that Kazakhstan and the U.S. need to step up international cooperation in protection of children's rights.
