Kazakhstan-UAE cooperation has great potential – Majilis Speaker Koshanov
Speaker of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Yerlan Koshanov participated in a solemn event dedicated to the National Day of the United Arab Emirates. On behalf of the President and deputies of the Parliament, he congratulated the people and leadership of the fraternal country, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Majilis.
Koshanov thanked the UAE for all-round support of Kazakhstan since the first days of independence and said that friendship between the two countries had been strengthening.
He said that within half a century, the UAE had turned into a powerful state with a prosperous economy. He especially highlighted the development of constructive bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and the UAE as well as enhancement of cooperation in all spheres.
In many ways, the ties between our countries develop fruitfully thanks to the policy of our states. In January 2023, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. This visit gave a new impetus to the political dialogue and trade-economic cooperation. We are ready to deepen the partnership at the level of parliaments, he said.
Koshanov emphasized that the UAE had become the center of advanced technologies, effectively implementing the RES projects around the globe. In this regard, he wished success to the 28th UN Climate Change Conference soon to be held in Dubai.
Similar values and aspirations, constructive policy and mutual respect of the nations made the Kazakh-Emirati relations a model of fruitful cooperation, Koshanov said. He also expressed confidence that the Kazakhstan-UAE cooperation has a great potential.
