Kazakhstan, UAE sign agreement on investment cooperation in data centre and AIprojects

On Friday, January 12, CEO of JSC Samruk-Kazyna National Sovereign Fund, Nurlan Zhakupov, met with H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, the Minister of Investment of the UAE, Kazinform News Agency reports via the press service of JSC Samruk-Kazyna

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed by Samruk-Kazyna, the UAE Ministry of Investment, and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.

This strategic document aims to establish a framework for investments in data center projects, to be implemented on the territory of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is experiencing significant expansion in its data center sector, driven by a growing need for computing resources, progressive government policies, and advancements in artificial intelligence.

The memorandum between the two countries focuses on building strong and effective collaboration. The agreement additionally suggests implementing incentives to support relevant initiatives and aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge.
