Kazakhstan upset in semifinals of United Cup in Australia

The Kazakh team lost to Team Poland in the semifinals of the United Cup.

Alexander Shevchenko suffered a defeat against Hubert Hurkacz with a score of 3:6, 2:6.

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina lost to world No. 2 Iga Swiatek with a score of 6:7, 4:6.

Paired with Maja Chwalinska, Jan Zielinski defeated the Kazakh duo of Zhibek Kulambayeva and Alexander Shevchenko with a score of 4:6, 1:6 in the third meeting, which had not affected the overall tournament standing.

As earlier reported, Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan had cruised into the main event of the ATP 250 Brisbane International Tennis Tournament in Australia.
