Kazakhstan-US Energy Partnership Commission to hold 7th sitting on November 15-16

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM The delegation of energy experts headed by Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev from Kazakhstan arrived in Washington to take part in the 7th sitting of the joint Kazakh-American Commission on Energy Partnership planned for November 15-16, the press release of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the USA informs.

The ministers of Oil & Gas, Industry and New Technologies, Environmental Protection as well as heads of 'KazMunaiGas', 'Kaztransgas', 'KEGOC', Competition Protection Agency, 'Samruk-Kazyna' and the Nuclear Physics Institute and the National Nuclear Centre are representing Kazakhstan at the meeting.

The sides are to sum up the results and define the field of future work of the four main directions. These are nuclear industry and the issues on nonproliferation, hydrocarbon power industry, electricity and renewable energy and energy saving. The Joint Action Plan of Kazakhstan and America on partnership in this sphere is expected to be the result of the meeting.

Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev will meet with several representatives of the Administration of President Barack Obama within this visit. The sides are to have consultations in energy sphere.

According to Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States Yerlan Idrissov successful work of the Commission is very important for Kazakhstan. 'The United States is the main investor to our energy sector', he noted.
