Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan commodity turnover surpassed USD 4.2 bln in 2024

Uzbekistan established trading relations with 198 countries, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The country’s foreign trade turnover made 65.9 billion US dollars in January -December 2024 that is 3.8% more as compared to the same period of the previous year, the Statistics Agency said.

Of which 26.9 billion US dollars accounted for exports and 38.9 billion US dollars for imports.

China remains the country’s key trading partner. The turnover between Uzbekistan and China reached 12.4 billion US dollars (18.9% of total volume). Russia is the second largest trading partner of Uzbekistan with trade turnover hitting 11.6 billion US dollars, while Kazakhstan rounds out the top three with sales standing at 4.22 billion US dollars.

Kazakhstan exports to Uzbekistan made 1.4 billion US dollars, while imports made 2.8 billion US dollars.

As earlier reported, Uzbekistan is targeting over 30 billion US dollars in exports this year.
