COW. October 26. KAZINFORM. /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Kazakhstan positively treats the initiative of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on creation of a new system of Euro-Atlantic security. Kazakh Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said it upon the results of the meeting with Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Sergey Mironov in Moscow.

K. Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan positively treated that document. "We consider the document needs all-round discussion and can become a reason for holding of top level forums and meetings in 2010", he noted. "Moreover, next year we will mark the 35th anniversary of the OSCE, the 20th anniversary of the Charter of Paris for a New Europe and the 65th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. These are the good reasons to meet and discuss definite measures on establishment of a new security system", Mr. Tokayev emphasized.
