Kazakhstan will continue cooperation with European Investment Bank - Y.Dossayev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev had a meeting with Director of the Eastern Neighbourhood and Central Asia of the European Investment Bank Heinz Olbers, this has been reported by the press service of the Ministry.

"Kazakhstan intends to continue effective cooperation with the European Investment Bank in the field of energy, infrastructure, industry and agricultural products sector, as well as to consider increasing funding for projects involving the European Investment Bank", said the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev at a meeting with Heinz Olbers. The sides discussed prospects of signing the Framework Partnership Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the bank, which provides for the development of financial sector, small and medium businesses, infrastructure, transport, energy and urban development, private sector development including public-private partnerships, etc. To support and stimulate economic growth this year the National Fund of Kazakhstan allocated KZT 500 billion. In particular, the financial resources will go for lending small and medium-sized businesses (KZT 100 bln), industrial and innovative development (KZT 150 bln), as well as banking sector (KZT 250 bln).
