Kazakhstan wins in 2nd match of 2026 Olympic qualification tournament

Kazakh women’s ice hockey team has won in the second match of the third round of qualification for the 2026 Olympic Games in Piešťany, Slovakia, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

Team Kazakhstan defeated Slovenia with a score of 3:0.

It was the first Kazakh team’s victory at the tournament. Earlier, Slovakia beat Kazakhstan with a score of 8:1. 

Kazakhstan will next face Iceland.

The Kazakhstan women's national team will play on against Iceland on December 15, 2024 at 06:00 Astana time.

Only one team ranked highest in the third stage standings will advance to the final round of qualification.
