Kazakhstani Bank presents KZT2mln worth gift certificates to 5 newborns as country’s population crosses 20mln mark
Kazakhstan’s mortgage bank Otbasy Bank presents gift certificates worth KZT2mln to the five 20-millionth newborns, Kazinform News Agency reports.
As the country is celebrating its 20-million population milestone, the Bank decided to present gift certificates worth KZT2mln to five 20-millionth newborns, said chairwoman of Otbasy bank Lyazzat Ibragimova.
According to her, the certificate is a road to the bright future and the first step towards obtaining home in the future.
The bank holds around 300 thousand children’s deposit accounts, including over 50 thousand for children under 5, more than 12 thousand for children under 1.
As Ibragimova said, nearly 200 clients of Otbasy bank have been granted housing loans after turning 18.
Speaking of the National Fund for Children project, the Otbasy Bank head said that today the President signed the law introducing changes and additions to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan regarding allocating children funds from the National Fund of Kazakhstan, their payment and use.
The draft law aims at allocating money savings to children’s special accounts upon turning 18 for two purposes – acquiring housing and getting education.
