Kazakhstani biathletes compete in Women's Sprint of IBU Biathlon World Cup in Germany

Today, January 10, the IBU Biathlon World Cup stage kicked off in Oberhof, Germany, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

The competition started with the Women's Sprint 7.5 km. Three Kazakhstani athletes represented the country in this event. Polina Yegorova showed the best result, finishing 80th. Olga Poltoranina secured 85th spot, while Galina Vishnevskaya-Sheporenko took 96th place.

Paula Botet of France won the race, followed by Maren Kirkeeide of Norway grabbing silver. Milena Todorova of Bulgaria secured 3rd place.

The Men's 10km sprint will start at 06:20 pm Astana time.

As reported earlier eight Kazakhstani biathletes would participate in the IBU Biathlon World Cup in Germany.
