Kazakhstani boxer Ruslan Madiyev claims WBA Asia welterweight interim title

Ruslan Madiyev of Kazakhstan (15-2, 6kos) claimed the WBA Asia welterweight interim title, after defeating Russian Tigran Sogoyan (7-0-1, 4kos) by the unanimous decision of the judges, at the boxing night in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Sports.kz reports. 

Ruslan Madiyev of Kazakhstan secured his 16th professional win, while Tigran Sogoyan suffered his first loss.

As part of the boxing night, another Kazakhstani Samatali Toltayev knocked out Russian Magomedrasul Omarov.

Nurdos Tolebay of Kazakhstan with a record of 12-0, 10kos beat Uzbek Ulugbek Kayumboyev by the decision of the judges.

Kazakhstani Yelshat Nygmetolla (19-0-1, 6kos), aka ‘Kazakh warrior’ defeated Muhsin Kizota of Tanzania by a TKO in round 3 of the super bantamweight fight.
