Kazakhstani Expo and Forum of Power Engineers kicks off in Almaty

ATY. November 3. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The 8th Kazakhstan International Exhibition and Forum of Power Engineers 'Power Kazakhstan-2009' has been opened in Almaty. The organizers are the Kazakhstan Exhibition Company Iteca and ITE Group Plc (Great Britain).

The exhibition represents the latest achievements of the world modern electrotechnical industry - equipment for different sectors of industry, advanced energy conservation methods and materials, power installations of new generation, innovation projects and developments. Power Kazakhstan exhibition is officially supported by the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral resources, KEGOC JSC, Almaty akimat (administration), Kazakhstan Electricity Association, Kazakhstan Union of Power Engineers and Kazakhstan Union of Engineering Companies.

According to Power Kazakhstan Manager Gulzana Akhmetova, despite the difficult situation in some companies, the exhibition has been held this year. "Over 70 companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Germany, South Korea, Iran and India are taking part in it. 40 percent of participants are the Kazakh companies. For the first time, the People's Republic of China demonstrates its national stand", she said.
