Kazakhstani karatekas win 2 gold medals in Germany

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Young karatekas from Kazakhstan won two gold and three bronze medals at the Open Kyokushinkai Karate-Do Championship in Berlin, Germany, Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.

"I had a really tough fight against the Russian competitor, but I guess it was my day," a gold medalist of the Open Championship in Germany Ilyas Mirkhanov said. "I vied against Russian karateka, then against German one. I would like to thank my coach Azamat Bolatovich. In future I want to become a world champion," said Abilmansur Kuanganov, who clinched bronze. Kazakhstani karatekas were named "The Best Team" of the tournament in the German capital. Next time they will go to Greece to demonstrate their skills at the European Championship.
