Kazakhstani Mikhail Kukushkin out of ATP Challenger Guangzhou

World No. 118 Kazakhstani Mikhail Kukushkin failed to advance to the Men’s Singles final at the ATP Challenger Guangzhou in China, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Kukushkin clashed with world No. 87 Christopher O'Connell of Australia in the Men’s Singles final, where the Kazakh athlete was stunned by the latter in two sets with a score of 4:6, 2:6. The match lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes.

Thus, Mikhail Kukushkin finished his performance at the tournament. The Australian tennis player will fight against Sho Shimabukuro of Japan in the final bout.

The ATP Challenger Guangzhou is set to run between September 9-15. The tournament’s prize money stands at 133,250 US dollars.
