Scholars of the Kazan Federal University have a host of know-hows related to Tatarstan's huge Romashinskoye oil field development and are ready to share it with their Kazakhstani colleagues, specifically with oil workers from Mangystau region.

"Romashinskoye oil field used to ensure the energy security of the Soviet Union. Our scholars from the university helped those who worked at the oil field. As a professor of the university, I welcomed the opportunity to come to Kazakhstan, to Aktau city, to explore possible cooperation which, I am sure, will be beneficial for both sides. Kazakhstani oil workers pride on having extensive hands-on experience that can be useful to us. We can join hands and commit our expertise in order to solve regional problems," professor of the Kazan Federal University and deputy of State Duma of the Russian Federation Vasily Likhachev said.
