Kazakhstan's national shooting team is holding a training camp ahead of the Asian Rifle and Pistol Cup 2025 in Thailand, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Team Kazakhstan led by Olga Dovgun is training at the Olympic Training Base in Almaty.

The training camp brought together 42 athletes, including the country's leading shooters and promising juniors including Paris Olympics bronze medalists Islam Satpayev and Alexandra Le, International Masters of Sport Nikita Chiryukin, Konstantin Malinovsky, Arina Altukhova, Irina Yunusmetova, Valery Rakhimzhan, and Yelizaveta Bezrukova.

The training camp will last until January 30. It will be an important stage in the preparation of Kazakhstan's shooting team for international competitions. The camp boasts modern infrastructure, highly skilled coaching staff, and a cutting-edge approach aimed at enhancing both the technical and psychological aspects of the athletes' performance.

The season will commence with the Asian Rifle and Pistol Cup 2025 in Bangkok on February 9-22. According to the team's head coach, the athletes are currently improving physical condition. The primary objective for the upcoming tournament is to secure one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.

As reported earlier, the roster of the Kazakh epée fencing team to participate in the FIE Junior World Cup in Egypt was announced.
