Kazakhstani swimmer, 7yo, claims silver at tournament in UAE
7-year-old Dmitriy Krempin from Kazakhstan’s Konaev town, won a silver medal for open water swim at the 2025 OCEANMAN World Final Championship in Dubai, the UAE, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The event brought together over 100 children and teens aged at 4-17 from 20 countries competing for medals in open water swimming.
Representing Kazakhstan was 7-year-old Dmitriy Krempin, who started swimming aged 5, claimed the 500m open water silver.
Dmitriy’s coach Madiyar Kemelzhan shared the plans to train his apprentices for even major competitions.

Konaev town has the only paid Aidariya pool, which offers special benefits to families with many children and persons with disabilities. Currently, 115 children, of whom 20 are children with special needs, are attending the facility.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan had claimed a historic first freestyle aerials gold at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Almaty.
