Kazakhstani tennis players fail to advance to 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers
Team Kazakhstan was stunned by Denmark in the Men’s qualification of the World Group I First Round in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Olympic.kz.
Kazakhstani duo of Alexander Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov lost to August Holmgren and Johannes Ingildsen in the Men’s Doubles of the Davis Cup qualification. Team Denmark won in two sets with a score of 6:7, 3:6.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstani Alexander Bublik was stunned by Elmer Moller in two sets with a score of 6:2, 6:2.
Alexander Shevchenko of Kazakhstan lost to Denmark’s August Holmgren (ranked 166th) in the Men’s Singles.
The competition resulted in a 3-0 defeat for Kazakhstan, which consequently failed to advance in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers.
The Davis Cup qualifying matches consist of four singles and one doubles match. The 12 winning nations from the World Group I ties will compete in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers.
