Kazakhstani to serve as UNODC Country Manager in South Africa

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's diplomat Zhuldyz Akisheva was named as the Country Manager of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in South Africa, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informs.

Born in Almaty, Ms Akisheva is a graduate of the Kazakh State University, the Moscow State University and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Zhuldyz Akisheva started her UN career back in 2000. Prior to that, she worked for the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations in New York. Ms Akisheva served as the UNODC Country Manager in Vietnam from 2010 to 2015.
