Kazakhstani Zhukayev wins Jonathan Fried Pro Challenger in U.S.

Kazakhstani Beibit Zhukayev (ranked 247th by the ATP) triumphed at the Jonathan Fried Pro Challenger in Charlottesville, U.S., Kazinform News Agency reports via Sports.kz.

In the finals, Zhukayev defeated U.S. player Aidan Mayo (ranked 376th) in two sets with the score of 6:3, 6:4, which enabled him to win the title and earn $10,840. He also obtained 75 ranking points.

Earlier during the tournament, Zhukayev beat American Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (ranked 354th) - 4:6, 7:6, 7:6, Spaniard Inaki Montes-De La Torre (ranked 517th) - 6:4, 7: 6, Croatian Nino Serdarušić (ranked 284th) - 6:3, 6:4 and another U.S. player Patrick Kypson (ranked 274th) - 6:4, 7:6.
