Kazakhstanis in China, the first to cast ballots in NPP construction referendum

Polling stations in China will be one of the first to hold the referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan set for October 6, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Polling stations will open at the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

District election precinct No.389 will open at the Kazakh Embassy located in Beijing. Kazakh students and nationals of Kazakhstan temporarily staying or working in China, and tourists will cast their votes in the coming referendum.

Polling stations will be open from 07:00 am. to 08:00 pm. local time.

As earlier reported, 300 Kazakhstanis registered in Kyrgyzstan to vote in the NPP construction referendum.
