Kazakhstanis to get SAM permission for study at theological institutions of Egypt

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Henceforth Kazakh citizens planning to travel to Egypt to study at theological institutions must obtain special permission from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, this has been reported by the press service of the SAM.

Thus, only after obtaining special permission Kazakhstanis will be able to travel to Egypt and study at theological institutions. Yerzhan Mayamerov, Chief mufti of Kazakhstan, and Shawki Ibrahim Sheikh inked the agreement in Egypt. During the meeting they discussed issues of training and retraining of Kazakh personnel in theological institutions of Egypt. In addition, the sides exchanged views on the status and prospects of Kazakh- Egyptian relations in the spiritual sphere. "Al-Azkhar University has the right to train only those citizens of Kazakhstan, who received special permission from the SAM and approved it in the Egypt Embassy in Kazakhstan", says the document signed by the two parties. NOTE: "Al-Azkhar" University is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the Islamic world.
