Kazakhstan’s aluminum exports up by 4.7 times

For the past four months the country’s aluminum exports grew by 4.7 times from 16,000 to 75,400 tons, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Kazakh Industry and Construction Ministry.

Kazakhstan’s exports increased since aluminum demand in Azerbaijan grew by eightfold from 5,500 to 43,100 tons, by 10.5 times in Uzbekistan from 200 tons to 2,100 tons, and due to the expansion of sales geography to countries such as Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, and Poland, it said in a statement.

The country’s only primary aluminum manufacturer is Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant in Pavlodar.
