Kazakhstan’s Balabayeva becomes world blitz champion in Italy
Kazakhstan’s Xeniya Balabayeva became the world blitz champion at the World Junior Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship 2023 in Pula, Italy, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Amina Kairbekova of Kazakhstan settled for silver in the blitz event.
Kazakhstani Arystan Issanzhulov was ranked 3rd at the event.
It is worth mentioning that Xeniya Balabayeva was placed 2nd in the rapid event, while Zeinep Sultanbek was 3rd.
