Kazakhstan’s chess player Bibisara Assaubayeva claims win at 9th Swiss Queens Wednesday tournament

Kazakhstani chess player Bibisara Assaubayeva triumphed at the Swiss Queens Wednesday tournament, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.

Two-time world blitz chess champion (2021, 2022) Bibisara Assaubayeva was victorious at the ninth online tournament Swiss Queens Wednesday with a total of 10.5 points out of 11. Teodora Injac of Serbia ended up the runner-up of the tournament with a score of 8.5 points. Coming in third was Savitha Shri Baskar from India – 8.5 points.

The Swiss Queens Wednesday Series is held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of FIDE. The tournament brings together the world’s top female chess players with FIDE titles. The prize fund of each series is estimated at 1,000 US dollars.
