Kazakhstan’s Danilina eases into WTA tournament semis in France
Kazakhstani Anna Danilina paired with Russian Alexandra Panova propelled to the semifinals of the Open Angers Arena Loire in Angers, France, Kazinform News Agency cites Spots.kz.
Danilina and Panova stunned American duo Mccartney Kessler and Alana Smith in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 10-6. The match lasted for 1 hour 19 minutes.
In the semifinals they will face Bibiane Schoofs of the Netherlands and Belgian Kimberley Zimmermann.
It bears to remind that Anna Danilina is currently ranked 56th in the WTA Doubles Rankings.
This September Anna Danilina and Harri Heliovaara lifted the mixed doubles title at 2023 US Open, their first Grand Slam title, by eliminating №1 seeds Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek.
