Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina falls in WTA Singles Rankings

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina plunged in the updated WTA Singles Rankings this week, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Rybakina plummeted two spots down to №5 after she was eliminated in the second round of the 2024 Australian Open.

Iga Swiatek of Poland retained her top spot in the WTA Singles Rankings. Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka is ranked 2nd in the world after claiming her back-to-back Australian Open title. American Coco Gauff climbed to the 4th spot. She is followed by another American Jessica Pegula at №5.

Kazakhstani Yulia Putintseva lost seven spots landing the 70th line of the WTA Singles Rankings.

In the WTA Doubles Rankings, Belgian Elise Mertens rose to the top spot, followed by Su-Wei Hsieh who climbed four spots. Australian Storm Hunter slid two spots down to №3.

Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina remains the highest ranked doubles player in Kazakhstan at №44. Zhibek Kulambayeva lost one spot and is now ranked 142nd. Putintseva and Rybakina are placed 354th and 169th, respectively.
