Kazakhstan’s exports of agro-industrial products to CIS hit $3bln

The total volume of Kazakhstan-CIS agro-industrial commodity turnover reached 6.5 billion US dollars. This is what Minister Aidarbek Saparov said at the CIS Ministerial Conference for Cooperation in Food Security Ensuring, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In his words, Kazakhstan-CIS agro-industrial commodity turnover rose by 23% in 2022 and reached 6.5 billion US dollars, which comprises 60% of the total commodity turnover of the country’s agro-industrial sector.

The minister also noted that Kazakhstan’s exports to the CIS in 2022 made almost 3 billion US dollars having augmented by 27%. This is 56% of Kazakhstan’s total agro-industrial products exports.

“Alongside, Kazakhstan imported agro-industrial products from the CIS states to the amount of 3.5 billion US dollars, which is 67% of the country’s total import. This is the result of Kazakhstan’s close interaction with the CIS states based on common history and trade-economic ties,” the minister added.
