Kazakh men's ice hockey team finishes 5th at 2025 World Winter University Games

Kazakhstan's men's ice hockey team finished its participation at the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games in Italy, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan secured a decisive victory over the Czech Republic with a final score of 5:2 in the match for fifth place.

Those who scored the goals are Oleg Boiko (22nd minute), Beibarys Orazov (31st minute), Denis Chaporov (44th minute), and Semyon Simonov (54th and 55th minute).

Joshua James Mácha (27th minute) and Josef Hasman (33rd minute) scored for the Czech Republic.

Thus, Team Kazakhstan secured the fifth place at the tournament. Kazakhstan vanquished Sweden (9:2) and South Korea (7:1) and was defeated by Canada (3:4 in a shootout) and the Czech Republic (1:3) during the group stage. Kazakhstan's men's ice hockey team suffered a defeat against Slovakia (1:2) in the quarterfinals.

As reported earlier, Team Kazakhstan has completed its journey at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2025 in Zakopane.
