Kazakhstan's investment opportunities presented in Seoul
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to South Korea Nurgali Arystanov presented Kazakhstan's investment opportunities at the Global Business Forum in Seoul, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Over 100 CEOs of major South Korean companies, think tanks, economic institutions, and associations attended the event organized by The Korea Herald, Korea's leading English-language daily newspaper, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
The event aimed at creation of a platform for networking with leaders of the Korean business community as well as at strengthening business cooperation.
In his remarks, Ambassador Nurgali Arystanov reminded of several successful investment and breakthrough projects implemented in Kazakhstan together with major South Korean companies - Hyundai Motors, Kia, SK Ecoplant, Korea Expressway, and Doosan Enerbility.
He said Kazakhstan sees construction boom today, with residential buildings, hotels, hospitals, schools, roads being built and infrastructure being actively renovated.
In H12023, gross inflow of foreign direct investments from Korea to Kazakhstan increased by 32.5% and reached $717 million.
South Korea stands sixth among other large investors of Kazakhstan, in terms of investments attracted in January-June 2023.
Infrastructure, car-making industry, e-commerce, IT, energy, education, healthcare, and tourism were also identified as promising areas for further cooperation.
