Kazakhstan’s Mangistau region to revive deep-sea fishery
Mangistau region is set to revive deep-sea fishery, governor Nurdaulet Kilybai told a press conference at the central communications service, Kazinform News Agency reports.
He said the region’s three enterprises bred up 45.5 tons of sturgeons and sheatfishes this year. Next year they plan to produce up to 286 tons.
The governor noted the region began developing fishery after 30 years of recess. Several investors were attracted to boost the sector. Next year targets up to 20,000 tons of fish. The region plans to implement eight investment projects worth 12 billion tenge in 2025-2027.
As earlier reported, eight large projects worth 27 trillion tenge will be developed in Mangistau region.
