Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin skyrockets in ATP Singles Rankings

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has presented an updated list of athletes’ singles and doubles rankings, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

The top three tennis players remained unchanged, with Jannik Sinner of Italy in the first place, followed by Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
The highest ranked tennis player in Kazakhstan, Alexander Bublik, remained at 25th, while Alexander Shevchenko lost two spots securing 58th position. Mikhail Kukushkin climbed 13 spots in the updated ATP Singles Rankings, securing 121st, while Denis Yevseyev dropped 15 spots landing the 181st line. Dmitry Popko and Timofey Skatov lost two spots each, falling to 187th and 191st, accordingly.
In the Doubles Rankings, Spain's Marcel Granollers and Argentina's Horacio Zeballos share the top spot, with Australia's Matthew Ebden placed 3rd.
Kazakhstan's Aleksandr Nedovyesov moved down five spots securing 59th position. Bublik dropped three places to 133rd, while Andrey Golubev retained his 148th place in men’s doubles.
It bears to remind that American Taylor Fritz defeated Alexander Bublik in Men’s Singles First Round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Kazakhstani tennis players Alexander Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov were upset in the Men’s Doubles first-round match. Brazilian duo Thiago Monteiro and Thiago Seyboth Wild routed the Kazakh tandem with a score of 6:4, 6:4.
