Kazakhstan’s Omarkhanov cruises into 3rd round of Australian Open Juniors in Melbourne

World No.4  Amir Omarkhanov of Kazakhstan propelled to the third round of the ongoing Australian Open Juniors in Melbourne, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Olympic.kz.

Kazakhstan’s Omarkhanov clashed with Australian Ymerali Ibraimi (ranked 482nd), who was awarded with a wild card. Amir beat the local tennis player with a score of 6:4, 6:3 in two sets.

The Kazakhstani tennis player will face world No.18 William Rejchtman Vinciguerra in the third round of the tournament. The match is scheduled to be held on January 22.
