Kazakhstan’s Omarkhanov stopped two steps away from Australian Open title

Amir Omarkhanov of Kazakhstan was unable to advance to the semifinal of the Australian Open Junior Boys’ Singles in Melbourne, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In the quarterfinal match Mees Rottgering of the Netherlands routed Omarkhanov in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.

It bears to remind that Omarkhanov ranked 27th in the ITF Juniors Rankings stunned number 5 of the ITF Juniors Rankings Federico Cina of Italy in the Australian Open first round.

Amir Omarkhanov currently trains at the Tipsarevic Tennis Academy in Belgrade.
