Kazakhstan's PM Bektenov gives instructions to address poor road conditions
Kazakhstanis complained en masse about poor road conditions in 2024, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said during a government session Tuesday, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

According to Bektenov, some regions reported low local budget funding for road restoration works in spite of substantial budget allocations, including from the republican budget.
Especially, the residents of West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan and Abai regions have concerns about the quality of local roads. Over the past year, Kazakhstanis complained en masse about poor conditions of roads and streets, said the Kazakh Premier.
Bektenov went on to add that road infrastructure modernization and development often result in construction and reconstruction technologies failures or deadline delays.
The Premier also drew attention to the increase in mass road collisions across Kazakhstan.
