Kazakhstan’s Rybakina retains her spot in updated WTA Singles Rankings
The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has presented an updated list of athletes’ singles and doubles rankings following the end of the 2024 Toray Pan Pacific Open, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
The top three tennis players in the world ranking changed. Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka occupying the top of the WTA Singles Rankings is followed by Pole Iga Swiatek in the 2nd spot. American Coco Gauff is ranked 3rd.
Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan retained the 5th spot in the updated WTA Singles Rankings. Rybakina’s next tournament is the WTA Finals Riyadh, set to be held in Saudi Arabia between November 1-8. The Kazakh athlete hasn't participated in the tournaments since August 2024.
Another Kazakh athlete Yulia Putintseva is up one spot securing 28th position in the WTA Singles Rankings.
Katerina Siniakova, Erin Routliffe, and Lyudmyla Kichenok share the top three spots of the WTA Doubles Rankings. Kazakhstani Anna Danilina landed a new spot securing 22nd position. Putintseva dropped one spot landing 111th position. Zhibek Kulambayeva landed 141st position.
