Kazakhstan’s Rybakina rises in WTA rankings after Brisbane triumph

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina became world №3 this morning in the updated WTA Singles Rankings, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Rybakina rose in the singles rankings after grabbing her 6th WTA singles career title at the Brisbane International in Australia.

Pole Iga Swiatek is still world number one, followed by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka ranked 2nd by the WTA. American Coco Gauff landed the 4th spot in the updated singles rankings.

Recall that Rybakina edged out Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 in the Brisbane International final.

Another Kazakhstani Yulia Putintseva slid one spot down to №64 of the WTA Singles Rankings.
