Kazakhstan’s Shavkat Rakhmonov rises in UFC Rankings after latest win

Undefeated Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov propelled to the Top 3 of the UFC Welterweight Rankings after his Saturday win over Stephen Thompson, Kazinform News Agency refers to Sports.kz.

Rakhmonov climbed two spots up the rankings to the 3^rd line. Leon Edwards remains the champion in the weight category. Kamaru Usman is ranked 1^st followed by Belal Muhammad at №2. Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington round out the top 5 placed 4^th and 5^th, respectively.

Recall that Shavkat Rakhmonov stunned American Stephen Thompson in the second round of their fight at T-Mobile Arena in Last Vegas this weekend. The same evening Brit Leon Edwards eliminated another American Colby Covington by the unanimous decision of the judges in their respective bout.
