Kazakhstan’s Supreme Audit Chamber elected as ASOSAI Governing Board member for 2024-2027
The Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan has been elected as a member of the Governing Board of the Asian Supreme Audit Institutions for 2024-2027. The election was held on the last day of the ASOSAI 16th Assembly in New Delhi (India), Kazinform News Agency reports.
After the election, the delegation of the Kazakh Supreme Audit Chamber participated in the 61th Meeting of the ASOSAI Governing Board which discussed the propositions to carry out the ASOSAI 14th Research Project and establishment of a working group on the forecast and assessment of public finance.
The Kazakh delegation also participated in the 9th ASOSAI Symposium, which focused on the role of digital public infrastructure in modern public administration and the impact of technologies on gender equality.
The delegation led by Rassul Rakhimov also held bilateral meetings and talks with the officials of the supreme audit institutions of Azerbaijan, Butane, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Palestine, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
The Kazakh side showed a particular interest in e-audit, implementation of IT and AI in auditing, which can significantly help in improvement of state audit in Kazakhstan.
The Assembly ended with the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration, through which the ASOSAI members confirmed their commitment to further strengthening of cooperation and improvement of public administration systems.
