Kazakhstan’s unique experience in area of interfaith and interethnic harmony discussed in Madinah

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, met with the Madinah Province Governor, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdelaziz, and the Chairman of the Commerce Chamber, Mazen bin Ibrahim Rajab, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

During the meetings, the parties discussed ways to develop cooperation between Kazakhstani regions and the province of Madinah, which is considered one of the Holy centers of the Islamic world.

Ambassador Menilbekov noted the contribution of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia to the development of interreligious dialogue, as well as Kazakhstan’s unique experience in the field of maintaining interfaith and interethnic harmony, which turned out to be in demand on a global scale. The Kazakh diplomat briefed about the ongoing political and economic reforms in the country.

As for the economic aspect, the parties considered ways to strengthen investment and trade ties between the two countries and exchange visits by business circles. The Kazakh diplomat invited businessmen and major entrepreneurs from the province of Madinah to take part in the 3th meeting of the Kazakh-Saudi Business Council, scheduled for July 29, 2024, in Almaty.

Following the meetings, the parties agreed to further expand the partnership between the two countries in the field of regional development.
