?Kazatomprom? Head reported to President on Company?s work in 2008

ASTANA-AKORDA. February 25. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received head of ?Kazatomprom? National Atomic Company Mukhtar Dzhakishev, Kazinform has learnt from the Presidential press service.

M. Dzhakishev reported to the President on the results of the Company?s activity in 2008 and informed of the situation on creation of Russian-Kazakh joint enterprise on uranium enrichment, a vertically-integrated company on nuclear fuel production, construction of a conversion plant and a plant on fuel assemblies as well as construction of a nuclear plant in Aktau. ?In 2008 Kazakhstan ranked the second in uranium production in the world. This year we forecast to be the first?, Head of ?Kazatomprom? said at a briefing.
