Kazcosmos opens new office in Baikonyr

BAIKONYR. March 20. KAZINFORM. /Sara Kabikyzy/ The National Space Agency of Kazakhstan has opened two new facilities in Baikonyr today - the administration building and a residential block for the Agency employees.

Chairman of Kazakhstan Space Agency Talgat Mussabayev, Akim of Kyzylorda region Bolatbek Kuandykov, Akim of Baikonyr Alexander Mezintsev took part in the opening ceremony. Construction of these facilities was conducted under government aid as part of the program of Development of Baikonur Space Complex Infrastructure for 2006-2009. According to the press service of Kazcosmos, this is the first working visit of Talgat Mussabayev to Baikonur as head of the Space Agency. Today the Chairman is expected to meet with the top management of local businesses in Baikonyr and attend the ceremonial presentation of the title ?Honorary Citizen of Baikonyr? which Talgat Mussabayev was awarded by Baikonyr community in 2008.
