Kazhydromet issues weather alert for Astana and nine regions for Dec 10

Fog and ground blizzard are forecast in most parts of Kazakhstan on December 10, Kazinform News Agency learned from Kazhydromet.

Fog will blanket the city of Astana at night and in the morning.

Strong wind up to 15-20 meters per second is expected in Mangistau region.

Northern areas of Zhetysu region will see fog and ground blizzard, with strong  wind to hit the region’s east.

Fog will spread over north and east of Karaganda region, as well as east of Ulytau region at night and in the morning.

Ground blizzard is possible in Akmola region’s west, north and east. Fog is also expected  in the region’s south and east at night and in the morning. Gusts of wind may increase to 15-20 meters per second in the west and north.

Foggy conditions are predicted for Pavlodar region’s east at night.

Snowstorm is forecast in the west, north and east of North Kazakhstan region in the daytime, with fog to blanket the region's south and east. Strong wind up to 15-20 meters per second is forecast in the region’s west and north. Gusts of wind in the region’s east and west may reach 23 meters per second in the daytime.

Ground blizzard will hit Kostanay region’s north and east in the daytime. Fog will blanket southeast and eastern areas at night and in the morning. Wind speed may increase to 15-20 meters per second in the region's west, north and east.

Fog is possible in Turkistan region’s west, south and piedmont areas. Strong wind up to 15-20 meters per second will hit mountain passes.
