Kazinform nominated for Urker 2024 national award

The Ministry of Culture and Information announced the nominees for the 2024 URKER national award in print, radio and online journalism, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The competition was held in 12 nominations, with a total of 400 works submitted. The best works were selected by the jury, which included prominent journalists and media managers.

Kazinform News Agency’s correspondent Arailym Murat was nominated in the Best Article on Social Topic category.

The winners of the prize will be announced September 27 at a ceremony in the concert hall of Kazmedia Center.

The finalists are awarded the winner's certificate, Urker statuette and 1 million tenge of cash prize.

Kazakhstan’s URKER national prize which is awarded for the achievements in print, radio and internet journalism was established in 2017 to identify talented journalists and creative teams, to recognize their contribution to the development of professional journalism and attraction of public attention to their creativity.

The organizers of the prize are the Ministry of Culture and Information and Media Damytu Qory corporate fund. The event sponsors are Kazakhstan TV and Radio Channel and Khabar Agency.
