?Kazkosmos?, French National Center of Space Studies held negotiations

PARIS. February 26. KAZINFORM /Sara Kabikyzy/ Negotiations of Head of ?Kazkosmos? Talgat Musabayev with President of the National Center of Space Studies of France Yannick d'Escatha were held in the Center, Kazinform reports.

The heads of Kazakh and French space agencies discussed a range of issues on cooperation in space sphere, the process of preparation of intergovernmental agreement on outer space exploration for peaceful purposes that is planned to be signed within the coming visit of the President of France in Kazakhstan. T.Musabayev informed the French colleagues on challenges of the new National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, established two years ago, noting that the leadership of Kazakhstan pays serious attention to the development of space activity in the country. The chairman of the Kazakh Agency complimented the high status of Kazakh-French cooperation. ?The Presidents of our countries have agreed on strategic cooperation in the space exploration and we must realize the set task?, he said. T.Musabayev informed that ?EADS Astrium? French company was selected as the strategic partner of ?Kazkosmos? in the realization of two big space research projects on establishment of space-based system of remote sensing of the Earth of the Republic of Kazakhstan and construction of the assembling-test facilities on production of space vehicle. ?We plan cooperation with «Thales Alenia Space» company of France as well?, the head of ?Kazkosmos? said. The heads of space agencies of Kazakhstan and France expressed confidence that specialist of ?Kazkosmos?, CNES and all interested state bodies will prepare two - sided document that will define all terms of Kazakh-French cooperation in space studies sphere and will be signed during the visit of the French President in Kazakhstan.
