KazMunayGas shows interest in idle plant in N Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - According to CEO of Baiterek Holding Kuandyk Bishimbayev, KazMunayGas JSC is interested in reviving production at Biokhim plant in northern Kazakhstan.

Mr. Bishimbayev said in an interview to Kazakhstankaya Pravda newspaper that KMG displays interest in the Biokhim production complex. The plant was launched in the North Kazakhstan region back in 2006 as part of the 30 breakthrough projects campaign. However, the investment project flopped. Production at the plant was halted over multiple debts. In 2012, the Government of Kazakhstan announced it was looking for investors to revive the project.
