KazMunayGas subsidiaries must have separate legal status - Kazakh President

ASTANA. December 23. KAZINFORM During his Thursday visit to Mangystau region Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the Government to thoroughly study the actions of the authorized government officials, the company "KazMunayGas" in connection with the riots in Zhanaozen and provide specific proposals to punish those responsible, and reform the administrative system of KazMunayGas.

The President noted that the Government and "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund must provide legal entity status to the subsidiaries of KazMunayGas. This is necessary so that they can quickly solve the social problems of labor collectives.
