KBTU team wins at I Intercontinental Cup

ALMATY. February 17. KAZINFORM Kazakh-British Technical University team has won at the I Intercontinental Cup of ?Intellectual Olympiads? National TV project, Kazinform has learnt from the press-service of the University.

The project is a unique intellectual program for the students of Kazakhstan and is broadcast on ?Kazakhstan? channel every Sunday. The program, initiated in 2002, is held under the support of Nursultan Nazarbayev?s Education Fund and is the laureate of ?The Best Eurasian Intellectual Program? premium. The KBTU team had participated in this program before. Last May the team was best among the Kazakh universities and won a KZT 2 600 000 grant. At the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 the renewed team represented Kazakhstan in ?Intellectual Olympiads? Intercontinental Cup. According to one of the hosts and organizers of the project Sergey Pyaschik the KBTU team can be considered as unofficial world champion of ?Intellectual Olympiads?.
