Kelimbetov says, Kazakh foreign trade turnover up 40% for 9 months

TANA. November 15. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "For nine months of 2011 the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan grew more than 40%," Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov stated at today's meeting of the Kazakh Government in Astana.

"Real economy high growth rates along with the favorable foreign market environment contributed to increase in foreign trade turnover by 41.3% following the results of January-September this year to reach USD 91.9 bln," the Minister said.

"For the past nine months goods export increased by 49.9% against the analogous period of 2010 and made USD 65.8 bln. The country's import for 9 months rose by 23.5% to make USD 26.1 bln."
